Hi all, can we pick your learned brains?

We work as Relief Managers (under our own ABN) and one of our regular clients (the full-time manager) has asked us to get a RMLV (Queensland). The motel does have a bar and restaurant and there are mini-bars in the rooms. We have RSA but not RMLV. Is this required for us?
I’ve tried reading the literature on it but for motels this seems to be a ‘grey area’ as often the owner or full-time manager has one anyway. Can anyone advise us please?
    Thanks in advance.

Doesn’t matter about Restaraunts or how it’s sold, if there’s liquor on site an indiviual licensee or approved manager is to be on site or reasonable available during trading hours.

Thanks MVM – What if there’s only mini-bars in the rooms and no restaurant? – Or, a fridge at reception where guests could buy alcohol?

A quick read up on it says that an “approved manager” needs to have an RMLV. It would depend on the property – If you are the manager and no one else on site has an RMLV then yes, you do need to have one— Well the property needs you to have one.

    From their website
Certain licence types require an individual licensee or an approved manager to be on site or reasonably available during ordinary trading hours and extended trading hours.
