Hi. Just curious if anyone has challenged the amount of rent on a lease hold property and won?
Is it worth the extra money paying a lawyer to have a crack or are the amounts usually set in stone?

      Cheers

It reqally depends on your lease and of course your landlord. Unfortunately ours is stuck in stone. I sent him a copy of a page our of a brokers brochure once (no sorry I no longer have it unfotunately) and that meant nothing to him. But if you can find a way, Im sure there are many of us who woule LOVE to hear it!!

I’ve been led to believe that rent on a lease should be based around 22-23% of T/O. I still think lease rents are FAR too high and are usually cobbled together by less than honest brokers and owners….
